The K9 Search UK Administration Team

Meet the ladies responsible for the adminstration and running of K9 Search UK

Jennie

Founder

Hi Im married to Bill and have 3 grown up children Shaan Simran & JJ. I have been actively volunteering within the field of stolen, lost and found dogs since 2003. In 2008, I set up K9 Search UK to assist with the local missing and stray dogs, over the years we have built very strong relationships with Local Authorities, Police, Stray Kennels and Rescues. Its hard work but can be extremely rewarding at times.

Angie

Fundraiser

Hello I joined K9 Search UK initially as a transporter of death row dogs to their new rescue placement. I have since helped in all areas of our work, specifically raising awareness about the importance of neutering, vaccinations and permanent identification, the dangers of giving away pets on the Free Ad sites. I have also gone out searching for sighted missing dogs on many occasions.

Hi, I am a full time mum and house wife and have 3 pampered pooches of my own ,Im a volunteer for K9 Search UK, over the years ive transported dogs, fostered puppies in my home so they don’t end up in the pound, fundraised, gone out searching and I crosspost the many lost and found dogs across facebook and free add sites, also cross matching to other lost and found sites too. Its both rewarding and heart breaking at times but its all worth it to see reunited dogs with their owners.

Administrator

Hi, I live in Solihull, West Midlands. I am married and have a dog Charlie. I became aware of K9 during September 2015 and, having some time to spare, became an active volunteer in October 2015. I am mainly involved with the posting of Found & Lost Dogs onto our social media pages, and other administrative duties. I work alongside a great team of people and I have to say that, whilst it can be a little sad at times, I find volunteering for K9 extremely rewarding work.

Hi, I’m Claire and I’m 30 from Birmingham. I have a young child, a fiancé and a mad little dog. I’ve worked with K9 since late 2016 and am passionate about helping reunite and rescue dogs where I can.

Caroline

Alerts Administrator

Hello, I’m Caroline. I’m a retired shepherd, and have a family of 6 dogs – my last retired work dog, and a collection of unwanted, abused and rescued sheepdogs and spaniels. I teach, train and compete in agility, and foster palliative care and terminal cases (though a few other slip through the net...). I have a long term missing terrier – missing since 2011 – so getting lost dogs home is desperately important to me, and I am sometimes involved in local searches. K9 Search UK does an amazing job at reuniting dogs, and I am honoured to be part of a very supportive team

Breed Specific Legislation Advisor

I’m Andrea, I have a daughter, Gemma and a son, Rob and married to Paul. I’m owned by 3 SBT crosses, Kizzie, Bella and Lili. Deed Not Breed is a non-profit organisation which was initially set up to offer advice to owners of banned breed dogs but we now offer free advice and support to owners of all dogs on all matters pertaining to dog law. I also co-run an advisory and support group with my daughter, for owners of Staffordshire Bull Terriers suffering from L-2-HGA, a neurological condition about which not much is known, even by vets. Once a fortnight I can be found on reception at my local RSPCA, volunteering there as well and can be called on locally to scan stray/lost pets for microchips or to check microchip details for other organisations. I regularly attend doglaw seminars by Trevor Cooper to keep up to date with case law on doglaw and have attended canine first aid courses
